TruHealth Direct Care
Services
Direct Primary Care (DPC) is the newest and best care that you can buy.
What makes it the best?
Research shows that DPC offers superior care because the provider is compensated by providing health to patients, rather than payed for seeing the patient. Small distinction, but the value in this model is that the patient has more access to their doctor. Think of it like owning a season ski pass rather than paying for individual ski lift tickets. The ski pass is cheaper for some, while the lift tickets are cheaper for others. But if you are on the fence as to whether you want to go, owning the pass will tip the scales and you may end up going more. Individuals who utilize a family medicine provider actually have longer lives with less morbidity.
How does it differ from a traditional clinic?
Traditionally, people didn't have health insurance until the last century. So in a sense, this could be considered more traditional than current medical practices in the United States. But putting semantics aside the biggest difference is the lack of insurance that is accepted. Rather than scanning their insurance card at each visit, paying their copays, reaching deductibles, etc... the route is simple. Individuals can pay cash for services, at reduced rates or they can pay for a membership and have various levels of access, based on their membership plan. The base plan is $69 per each adult, per month, and you get access as many times a month as you want, to TruHealth for management of chronic conditions.
What does it cost?
For most people, this is significantly cheaper than using insurance. At only $69/month for each adult, this is a fraction of the cost of insurance and there are no copays.
